Approximately two months ago, I was blessed to become an aunt-in-law to a baby boy. Being that none of my immediate family members have any children, I was super excited. It was my first time stepping into a hospital room seeing a newborn. Upon first gaze at the baby, I was amazed at how tiny he was. He fell in and out of sleep, whimpered when he was upset, and just gazed around the room taking in what the world offered him. He was the cutest thing in the world, and I can't express how precious this small bundle of joy is.
Fast forward two months. He is now a chubby adorable baby. He learned how to hold his head upright, partake in staring contests, and smile at human faces. Unfortunately since he is not in my immediate family, I don't get to see him much. So the little amount of time I get to spend with my little "M," I really do enjoy it. He immediately warms my heart and brings a smile to my face.
Now the joy of having someone close to you have a baby is buying baby clothes. Being that he is not my child, it was actually fun doing so. His 100th day on Earth is coming up soon, and I was delighted to be able to make him a small little basket filled with goodies of his own. I am sure his wardrobe is already bigger than mine, considering that he is the first born in the family, but he can always have more. I planned ahead and shopped my way through Michaels: the arts and crafts store. I actually have not stepped into this store since 4 years ago, but I can't express how much fun and how long I spent there just looking at "stuff."
So here it is. After four years of no arts and crafts in my life, I made my first baby gift basket. Given that the wrapping was a bit small, I guess it will do for now. Happy 100th day little M. I Love You.
I hope you like it baby M.
