My Last Weeks in the Two Six

The big count down has officially started. Okay, it began more than a month ago, but whatever... As I cherish the last 2 beautiful weeks of being this age, I just want to jot down 26 BIG EVENTs that I experienced this year.

1. Got a new job.. (Nay/Yay)
2. Quarter life crisis finally started (a year late buddy)
3. Controlled my love for handbags
4. Discovered Baltimore Maryland
5. Went on a beautiful cruise vacation with my best friend/boyfriend
6. Had probably the best NYE party at Highline (this year with more friends)
7. Conquered my first sample sale
8. Flew a kite
9. Went out of my comfort zone to explore new territories/adventures
10. Started a blog and a daily photo album
11. Epiphany on being a more understanding and kind person especially towards my parents
12. Discovered that family always (and I mean always) come first in my heart
13. Went fruit picking for the first time
14. Saw the first Disney on Ice show since I was 7 year old (Beauty and the Beast)
15. Will be going to Disney/Orlando theme parks for my birthday again (it's been 3 years since)
16. I officially started living with a roommate, MY BROTHER, which did not turn out as bad as I thought
17. Remodeled my room about three times until it's perfect and upgraded to a full size bed (still kind of miss my twin)
18. Had my ups/downs in my former job
19. Seriously got deep into skin care products (prevention is key)
20. Experienced four engagements of people that I actually were close to at one point in my life
21. Took a trip to the Met Museum to experience Alexander McQueen's artwork
22. Finally had a Christmas when my entire family was here for once
23. Experienced a snow free winter (hands down best winter ever)
24. Experienced multiple food festivals
25. Saw Lion King on Broadway for Valentine's Day
26. Sadly but surely, experienced my first white hair =(

I sincerely hope that 27 will be another "it" year with many more accomplishments, adventures, happiness, discoveries, and self fulfillment. Of course, health and family will always be number one in my heart. For my birthday wish this year, I don't want handbags, electronics, clothing, or high end shoes. I truly just want everyone who is close and dear to me (family, friends, companions, colleagues, patients of mine) to be happy, healthy, and safe. As I am getting older, I don't need to go buck wild at clubs, sweating who is attending my party/dinner, stressing over what to wear to look sexy, drinking until I fall over, and waking up the next day all hungover only to experience another night of drunken festivities. As much I don't want to let go of my early 20s, I am entering true adulthood. Regardless, I am thankful that everyday of my life (despite stress and anxiety) I am safe, happy, and filled with awesome people around me to spend my life with.
