High Alert: YSL (Saint Laurent) Sample Sale

Get ready! The second YSL annual sample sale is hitting New York City again. With Hedi Slimane taking charge, the brand is going through some major changes, including changing its name to Saint Laurent. Being a huge fan of the YSL logo and brand name, I was quite disappointed when the news was brought to me. There are already changes on their website showing the new collection.

Now back to the sample sale. I was fortunate enough to attend the one in early June 2012. It was chaotic, with the line spreading down two to three avenue blocks two hours prior to scheduled opening time. With the changes happening at the corporate and design level, "word" has it that this may be the last sample sale from the Yves Saint Laurent collections. However, the good news is that since they are trying to rid of their old inventory, this is the final time when and where you may score big time on those beautiful "Y" labeled products. 

So mark you calendars in BOLD, make sure you get plenty of sleep (more like no sleep), save up, and make a list of all possible buys, cause this SS is going to be the "BIGGIE" of the year.
